MTV Video Music Awards

THE ASK
Lead the charge for networks getting back to live events by driving viewership of the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards through a variety of street-level promotions during the COVID pandemic.

THE EXPERIENCE
Together, we devised a strategy to target several high-traffic outdoor areas throughout New York and New Jersey since the same fans were no longer going to be found in the typically crowded streets of Times Square. Our custom trucks and carts visited parks, beachgoers, and hospitals distributing branded face masks and pre-packaged popsicles to consumers and frontline staff.

THE RESULT
Working with local city ordinances and health officials, we ensured the on-the-ground experience was both engaging and safe every step of the way. The campaign was paired with aerial advertising and social influencer viewing kits as well as fleets of Brand Ambassadors dressed as the iconic MTV Moonperson.
